A brand new RX 450hand plug-in hybrid is added to the lineup in 2023, although Lexus hasn’t revealed the powertrain yet.Ā It’s likely to combine the RX 350h’s powertrain and the larger battery and an adapter to allow the use of a certain amount of miles of driving solely on electric.
The latest generation RX has introduced the F Sport model.Ā Its 2023 RX 500h F Sport Performance moves the model up the ladder of performance with more power.
Its RX 500h F Sport Performance model is powered by the 2.5-liter inline-4 engine and two electric motors connected to a 6-speed automated transmission.Ā The combined output is estimated at 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Six-piston front brake calipers will increase the stopping power.

Lexus claims that 500h F Sport Performance model will reduce the time from 0-60 mph to 7.5 second (7.4 when using the all-wheel drive) for the RX 350 front-wheel drive model to 5.9 seconds.Ā Estimated fuel efficiency in the model with the highest performance is 26, when combined.
The brand new RX is built on GA-K, which isĀ Toyota’s TNGA platform.Ā The same modular structure that is the basis of theĀ most recent ES car.Ā The new platform reduces the weight of the weight of the RX by up to 198 pounds as compared to the previous model, thanks to a hybrid materials design.
Lexus extends the RX’s wheelbase in 2.4 inches, yet keeps its overall length unchanged by reducing the rear’s excess by 2.4 inches.Ā While the platform and size changes provide more rear seat legroom and more cargo space, Lexus removesĀ 3 rowsĀ and the essentially ineffective rear seats.Ā In addition, the rear lifting height for the cargo space is also less according to Lexus.Ā Specifications for the car have not yet been announced.
