Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:FB) announced Tuesday after the close that its Class A common stock will begin trading on NASDAQ under the new ticker symbol ‘META’ beginning June 9, 2022.
The new ticker symbol, which will replace the current ‘FB’, aligns with the company’s rebranding from Facebook to Meta, announced on October 28, 2021.
Shares of Meta Platforms are down 42% year-to-date.
