Here were at the start of summer and people waiting for news on Florida sports betting hasn’t arrived. That’s why people are shifting their focus to 2023 in hopes that something can be given the green light early on in the year, especially with the NFL season around the corner, people want to make their bets by the playoffs.
However, no one knows what’s going to happen in this case and the fact that things remain in limbo is tough to see. As we mentioned, the hope is that a miracle can be recorded and people in Florida will be able to bet here sooner than later. As things stand, however, things are as clear as mud. People want to check the different odds through the top sportsbooks and make their wagers. Only time will tell if that will be able to happen within the next 12 months or not.

One thing to keep in mind here is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the top NFL odds for Florida teams out there right now. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the Jacksonville Jaguars are a total train wreck and the Miami Dolphins still feel a year or two away from being legit contenders. The same can’t be said for the Bucs, as they currently hold the No. 3 Super Bowl odds as we get ready for the regular season to arrive.
Tampa Bay has recently been listed with +650 Super Bowl odds, which of course has plenty of fans out there fired up. Tom Brady is back for what’s looking like it could be his final season. What will hurt this team and the offense moving forward, though, is that tight end Rob Gronkowski had announced his retirement from the game. Gronk is one of the best tight ends of all time and he and Brady have unreal chemistry together. They’ve got multiple Super Bowls together too.
With Gronk now out of the picture, that means it will be on the team’s other weapons to step up and deliver for the GOAT. This includes Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and others. With Evans and Godwin, they’re one of the best duos in the game when it comes to receivers. Brady loves throwing them the rock and that’s going to continue from start to finish this upcoming season. Fans can’t wait to see what they can do.
In terms of the NFC, the Bucs, Rams and Packers figure to be the top three teams entering Week 1. However, there’s plenty of excitement for the other teams in the conference too, including the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and more. With the Cowboys, they haven’t lived up to the hype in recent years, but Jerry Jones is hopeful that his team will be able to silence all of the haters this year. Brady and Tampa Bay will have something to say about that, though.

Florida sports betting being delayed is unacceptable
With all of that said, Florida sports betting being delayed is unacceptable and people remain furious. Things are only going to get worse for Florida if California sports betting ends up moving ahead, which is the expectation. Right now, there are several initiatives that have been confirmed with the November ballot. It’s anticipated that at least one of them will go through, meaning sports betting sure looks like it’s on the way in California.
For Florida, no one has a clue of what’s going to go down. On top of that, more than 30 states have already gone through with sports betting. With how big Florida is, and with how many pro and college teams the state features, there’s no reason that people shouldn’t be allowed to make legal wagers. They got a taste of things last fall, but now they must wait to see what happens in the future. It’s a rough deal for the thousands who can’t wait to bet.
