A unidentified player was caught in the WSOP ladies event taking chips from her pocket and adding them to her chip stack.
Initial reports indicated she was first placed on a one round penalty. Upon further investigation it was found that she had played the $150 ladies only event the night before and the fraudulent chips were found to part of that set (slight color/pattern variations). It has been reported via twitter that once wsop floor staff had confirmed the chips were in fact from the $150 event she was disqualified from the event, however no official statement has been made by the WSOP at this time and It is unclear if she will face a permanent ban.
Some players are reporting suspected fraudulent chips making there way into their stacks via pots won throughout the tournament. However, there have been conflicting reports stating the 2nd chip set/pattern variation has been in play since the start of the tournament. At this time it is unclear how many fraudulent chips have been introduced.
