As the ecosystem advances so does DappRadar
As was the situation when it launched in Feb 2018, DappRadar’s mission is usually to be the most trusted source of dapp data for developers, customers, and the wider blockchain environment.
That will not alter, but as constant alter drives the entire sector therefore the data DappRadar provides should evolve too.
One element of this is incorporating support for new blockchains because they become relevant. For that reason DappRadar’s original Ethereum focus has been broadened and enriched within mid-2018 as support has been added for EOS plus TRON dapps.
Now, in May 2019, assistance has been added for IOST dapps .
“Our goal from DappRadar is to provide the many accurate data about the fast-growing dapp ecosystem and so we are excited to add IOST to the coverage, ” commented DappRadar co-founder and CEO Skirmantas Januškas .
A new faster blockchain
A good ultra-fast, decentralized blockchain system based on the next-generation consensus criteria ‘Proof of Believability (POB)’, the IOST mainnet proceeded to go live on 25 February.
Since then, it’s taken care of almost 47 mil transactions , from more than 290, 000 accounts along with 15 dapps and hundred contracts deployed. (You can easily see the latest transactions via the IOST Explorer . )
Naturally , this is only the start with IOST’s ambitious goal being to get onboarded 100 million customers by the end of 2019; something which will be enhanced as brand new features such as native sidechains go live.
And according to CEO Jimmy Zhong, a key driver associated with such adoption will be top quality dapps that introduce the idea of blockchains and cryptocurrencies much more accessible ways.
“The biggest hurdle to mainstream adoption right this moment is the usability of the technologies and the dapps that come with this, ” Zhong says.
“With plenty of technical knowledge required to connect to the technology and be familiar with use of blockchain through purses, exchanges, and smart agreements, users can often be overwhelmed plus deterred from adopting blockchain platforms. ”
The very best technology is invisible
As a great example of the right approach, Zhong points to Bermi, the social network that rewards customers for watching and getting together with viral videos online.
“This enables users to earn cryptocurrencies in a way that is familiar for them, while getting a chance to learn about wise contracts, ” he says.

IOST will build on such enhancements with its OASIS project, which usually connects the blockchain to some wider userbase by decreasing the barriers to dapp access, ensuring users who seem to do not understand wallets and blockchain technology can actively take part in the IOST ecosystem.
“We are exceedingly excited to be listed upon DappRadar and see this relationship as an integral part of developing awareness and transparency associated with dapps, as well as increasing adopting and helping to drive the area forward, ” Zhong finishes.
