I began playing poker in college around eight months back. Myself and my group of buddies (any sizes group of 8-15 of us) played every week, either once or twice and play at .05/.10 Cent stakes (broke college students) with buy-ins of 10 dollars. We began keeping track of earnings over the past four months and I earned +150 dollars in the time period, which was a lot than anyone else, with the exception of one of my friends who was around $200. I’m not an expert player, but some of my buddies are definitely not the best, but in the past, I’ve been very keen to improve my game, as I’ve been watching YouTube videos and everything else every day to find out more about the theories and. Since I’m back from summer vacation and unable to participate in house games, I’m contemplating playing poker online as I’m just 20 and can’t legally play in live casinos. I’m considering starting with .10/.25 cent stakes, and then moving up to the next level, since I could easily imagine myself moving to .25/.50. I’d probably also play zone poker as I’ve seen video of bovada and other similar sites as I’m from NC and only play on these types of sites. I’m not a huge player, however I do have a good amount of money, and a job in the summer months, to the point that should I go in a losing streak, it would not be a huge problem. Do you have any recommendations for sites to check out to avoid? Or some advice?
